The Blackberry Curve 3G on September 26 and it will be more expensive than the Verizon edition. It will be sold for $49.99 with a two-year agreement, after a $100 mail-in rebate. It will be sold through Sprint’s direct sales channels and the device will be available from all sales channels starting October 10. It will be coming equipped with the Blackberry operating system 5, a 2 megapixel camera and 512MB flash memory. It will also have a microSD/SDHC slot (a 2GB card included in the package) that supports up to 32 GB memory cards, and will carry a trackpad/QWERTY layout. It will also feature WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS and 3G. It will be available in graphite gray and royal purple. Sprint also plans to add visual voicemail and its usual music store, TV and Pandora radio apps. Although it runs Blackberry OS 5, Sprint has announced that an upgrade to Blackberry OS 6 would come in the new year. But there was no revelation of a specific date for the upgrading process. But Sprint is nonetheless the first to commit to any kind of timeframe for the upgrade.
